Hi Guys.

I have owned several macs, and made a handful of hackintoshes in the past so i know a little bit.

What has never actually crossed my mind, what does one need to build an actual mac?

How does the hardware differ from normal parts we use in our hackintoshes?

Dont need to worry about bios settings and kexts. I mean, how does one MAKE a computer that is actually a REAL mac?

Looking forward to your replies!!
Thanks :D

This is a really interesting question.

I'm assuming you don't mean pulling together components from an older Mac Pro (Case, Motherboard etc) but actually finding an identical match in PC form for the components? The CPU in the new Trashcan Mac is an obvious "like for like" example as you can just swap it out. But stuff like the Apple Logic boards are clearly gonna be an issue.

Putting together PC hardware so well matched that OSX installs without a hitch - that's something I'd like to see!
