How do make my CPU show more than 1?

I have a quad core processor on Yosemite but in Compressor "to compress video files" it shows that I only have 1 core available? Is there a way in clover to make my system recognize/utilize all cores?

Make sure you don't boot with the cpus=1 boot argument.

Are you using Chimera or Clover as your boot loader?

If Chimera, look in org.chameleon.boot.plist at your boot-args - if no cpus=1 boot-arg is present, this is not problem. If is present, edit the .plist to remove it.

If Clover, look in EFI/EFI/Clover/config.plist at your boot-args - if no cpus=1 boot-arg is present, this is not problem. If is present, edit the .plist to remove it.
