how do i perform surgery?

tried modding AGPM and now i'm panicking... i backed up the original kext but can't figure out how to replace it. booting to a live linux usb won't let me manipulate the file system.

i apologize if this is daft but can someone please tell me a way to get into my system and replace the original kext?

Boot with

and that will give you a command prompt.

at command prompt type in:

rm /Volumes/"Name of your OS X partition"/System/Library/Extensions/"name of the kext you want to delete"

and hit enter.

If you can get back to desktop after removing it, easiest way to replace it is to run latest combo update, always remembering to replace any modded kext files that the update replaced with the original.

Basically, you need to know where the backup is then copy it to where it needs to be. Before that you probably need to delete the first KEXT (Bad one).
