FYI the F12 dsdt brakes audio.

I noticed that too. Everything else seems to work great on the f12 dsdt except with 10.7.4 my audio is toast.
I know a lot of people have been having issues with sound after upgrading as well so I thought it might be part of the same but after trying almost all the fixes I think the DSDT might be the culprit.

Anyone with mad skills able to provide a fix?

I can confirm those audio problems. I followed this guide here, which fixed it for me.

I did install the applehda replacement that was attached in the thread. However I dunno if it was needed as my audio was restored only after selecting ALC889 in non DSDT HDAEnabler. This appears to be the most important requirement.
