Hi there,

How can I find my GPU's AAPL,slot-name?

Thanks
Dump your Acpi using hackintool, this creates 4 files, open the .dsl file in MaciASL, look for the IOreg path in the .dsl that matches the one from Hackintool PCIe device tab.

How does AAPL,slot-name help config?

I see it included in many EFIs but I've never seen where it made the difference to a working config?

I used it, well I had a little help, to create a device property for my config to remove the word Radeon from the graphics card name in the ‘About this Mac‘ window, so that everything is on one line. I’m in the process of making a tutorial for the next episode of Hack Desk!.

Hmm I don't get it. I understand that AAPL,slot-name should be something like "@0, name" but I see nothing in the DSDT.dsl that looks like it. Here is the path from Hackintool

Yeah I’m not in front of my build either, but your on the right track. The part that starts with PC10@ and ends GFX0 is what you want. In MaciASL the slashes are replaced with full stops, if you click that in MaciASL, it will give you all the info you need.

@craighazan or anyone, had another look at the DSDT.dsl and searched for GFX0 but can't find a section with AAPL,slot-name like in your screenshot; if anyone could get it for me from the archive in this thread it would be awesome.
Thanks!

open Hackintool click on PCIe at the top than click Export at bottom this will put 4 files on desktop you need to open the file called pcidevices.plist in propertree or other editor this will show you all the Device Paths.
