Hey Guys,
I am trying those steps right now but not having much luck. I have followed your steps above with some mixed results. Here are some differences.
I am on 10.6.8, the 10.6.7 install did not work because of the sandybridge system so I went right to 10.6.8. That is working OK.
Then I tried installing Tonys version of NVIDIA drive and the OS was complaining about these kexts not working. So I used the latest installer from NVIDIA for drivers. That worked OK, then copied those kexts to the desktop and used kext beast to reinstall them OK. Then rebooted, installed the CUDA update, rebooted and then ran the script to get cuda working. The shutdown and installed the 4800. After booting up I do see the video card in About this MAC. But when I hook a display up to it nothing happens. At least I dont get a KP anymore with the card in... I am almost out of ideas now.
