Guys,
I have several doable DIY lists on hand for my first apple desktop builds, but they are big. Finding all parts and buying them online takes time. So I give up and turn to Intel NUC. The NUC in my list now is: NUC 6i5SYH, which its specs listed below:
CPU: i5 6250u; Graphics: built-in Intel Iris 540; Network: Intel Dual Band Wireless (802.11 ac) and BT 4.1 and Intel Gigabit Lan.
The SSD will be Intel 540s 240 gigabits and RAM will be Kingston HyperX 4gigabits*2.
The drivers for this NUC is well supported by Intel but only for windows.

I am wondering if this build can work on Hackingtosh. Any foreseeable problem that I should prepare for?

Thank you all~

Wow,

Thank you very much for your fantastic reply! This is a doable solution to the wifi and bt not functioning. The only imperfect point is it has to occupy one or two usb ports. I will give this a good consideration.

Again, please accept my salute, thank you pal!

Hello,

The "Edimax EW-7822UAC AC1200 Dual-Band USB3.0 Adapter" is a good solution for Networking a NEW generation NUC with a soldered on Intel NIC card and No expansion ports. Works with OS-X.....

well, I think I will use a compromise solution. As my needs for hackingtosh are quite simple, I am considering to roll back to older version of NUC which seems to be easier to do all the tweaks, and more importantly, much cheaper.

Thanks pal~ Will post my case to share my experience with NUC

Allbest

Yeah, I think you have to use a USB HUB with an Intel NUC anyways. Not enough USB ports.
