Hot Swap on Mavericks and Intel Z87

Added the 14.2 iMac SMBIOS. No luck, nothings changed...

What's so different about your setup PJALM?

Well I don't use Gigabyte, not sure if that maters though and I always make myself a proper DSDT.

Hmm... Since this is my 1st time without a DSDT you might be right.
Aren't Haswell machines supposed to run perfectly DSDTless? What does it add to have one on this platform exactly (minus the Hotswap maybe)?

** Small Update **
I have no clue why the Intel chipset does not use Hotswap on Mavericks... Anyways, I switched to the Marvell one with the help of 3rd_party_eSATA kext. Now, I get hot swap working correctly only when I right click on the Disk (not the partition, does not work, I tried) in Disk Utility and Eject. Hope this helps 'till somebody figures this out.

Strange, I have never ejected a drive in DU before, I always do it on my desktop.

Probably something to do with your DSDT. Can't think of anything else.

Could you please post more information about your DSDT? I have a GA-Z87MX-D3H and I would like to use some internal SATA ports to connect external eSATA disks for better performances than USB2 (those disks have eSATA and USB2 and Firewire).
