Can I explain toothbrush?
Not in a sense that will be very helpful.
I've used a Sonicare electric toothbrush for many years, and the 'discarded' brushes have nice powerful magnets.
Therefore many of the ferrous objects in my life now have teethbrush attached.

I think I might have had the dangling reset switch wire looped around it at one point, but they my wife couldn't quite reach the switch.

I'm assuming he'll:
a) Leave all of the stuff on the old monitor and put the new monitor in front of it
b) Buy the exact same monitor and reuse the back off the old one
c) Lay all of the components loosly on his desktop
d) Bolt all the stuff to a new monitor
e) Give in and buy an actual case
