Hi everyone!

Going directly from a Yosemite Hack to High Sierra via fresh install (new hard drive). However, when loading the installer from USB, the loading bar pops up but never progresses. Verbose boot reveals that it gets stuck after loading the block "MAC Framework successfully initialized", but can vary between 6 - 15 lines after with no obvious reason. Please see attached image

-Can't find anything similar in forums (especially for this early in the install process)
-Tried several combinations of boot arguments
-Used latest Unibeast and OSX High Sierra as of today
-Tried both legacy and non-legacy Unibeast install
-Made sure of BIOS settings correct, BUT could not disable Secure Boot Mode. It was greyed out.

Please if anyone has any ideas this would be of great help. Im stuck. Thanks!

As a bump and update, I should mention that it seems like this is a freeze after a specific time, since the quantity of items that load vary by a few each boot.

Does anyone have any observations at all?

Attempted, same behavior. Tried -f, -x, slide=0, nvda_drv=1,darkwake=0, -xcpm just for fun, no success.

Hi any more ideas anyone? This is still unresolved

  • I suspect a Problem with your CLOVER.
  • Upload CLOVER as a compressed file from the Disk that is causing the Verbose boot error you had uploaded.[See edited image]
