What have you done hackintosh-wise? What kexts are you using? How is your config.plist configured? How is your BIOS configured? What's working and what's not? Is everything seen properly in IORegistryExplorer?
have done everything required. i later went back to use your build guide since we using the same CPU and graphics card. i turned on IGPU in my BIOs because of my FCPX and also VTMD i believe that is what its called. all my usb ports works and also my audio. i will attach my kext image below and also my config.plst let me know if i still need to fix or change anything. i believe the only thing is just my screen freezes and mouse would not move too, will have to restart to fix that.

I don't think it could cause freezing, but you should use iMac18,3 system definition since you have a dGPU.

I can't see anything else that would cause freezing.

Try running Windows or Linux to see if you have freezing there. I don't see anything wrong with your config.plist or kexts.

If you are crashing in Windows too, then it's not a hackintosh issue.

You're going to have to check the build:
  • Check RAM
  • Check temperatures of CPU and GPU
  • Try running at stock speeds with no overclock
  • Check power supply

Try running rember to check RAM.

Check your motherboard manual on how to run at stock speeds.

Monitor temperatures of your CPU and GPU.

Have you tried with IGPU enabled and with iMac18,3 system definition?
Hi Pastrychef,

So i'm having similar slow speeds issues since installing my Vega 56 Pulse. I purchased this in the hope of improving my fcpx performance.

Originally i had dual 270X which would get me a bruce x score of 30sec with a LuxMark speed of 15000 approx.

I then purchased a RX580 and didn't see substantial gains (BruceX - 22Sec, Luxmark still around 15000).

With my Vega 56 I am getting a great Luxmark score of 27000 but Bruce X is down to 35 Sec. Kinda wish i'd stuck with the RX580 as this is solely for FCPX use.

I have iGPU enabled but have heard people getting BruceX scores of less than 15sec with the VEGAs. What are your thoughts? I have followed the full guide using Hackintool on Luli and WG and have updated platform ID's and am running now running system definitions 18,3. If i use the correct 15,3 to match my CPU i get the problem of FCPX crashing and no H.264 exports.

Any thoughts, Would love to get better speeds on my VEGA 56? (EFI Attached)

Many Thanks,

Alex

Which hackintosh kexts do you have installed? Please show me what you have in /Library/Extensions/.

Please make a backup of your existing, working EFI folder to the EFI partition of a USB flash drive and try with this config.plist.

Also, please populate the fields in config.plist > SMBIOS.
