I am running High Sierra on an i7 2700k sandy bridge. I want to upgrade the CPU and Motherboard to a faster Performance.
I also have a z490 i9 10850K Machine. But High Sierra wont install on that.

What is the last CPU, Motherboard Generation I can run high Sierra on??

300 series and Coffee Lake CPU.

Actually, it is possible to run High Sierra on a system with Intel 10th generation hardware like what you have, as demonstrated by this thread :

But you will need a supported graphics card as the CPU integrated graphics are not supported. Also you will need to use OpenCore (or perhaps Clover 5124 and later) as bootloader as plain old Clover won't work.

Personally, I recommend using 300 series motherboards and Intel 8th / 9th generation i3/i5/i7/i9 CPUs with a supported graphics card to run High Sierra 10.13.6. They are relatively easier to setup, and you can still use plain old Clover if you want.

My first three systems are based on them.
