I'm plugging my late 2020 M1 MacBook Air into the following 21:9 1440p monitor over USB-C - https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-35wn75c-b-ultrawide-monitor. There are no hiDPI resolutions available to select in displays or using RDM. I downloaded SwitchResX and tried to set some custom resolutions as seen in the following screenshot but they are called invalid. Some advice here would be greatly appreciated.

which resolutions are shown in system preference ? I am also planing to get an M1 but with a 32:9 Screen (5120x1440)

Doesn't work at all. Had contact with Stephane from SwitchResX, currently there seems no way to run any other modes like the provided ones. There some people more, but it seems like no one is interested enough to bug Apple about it. So I think that behaviour will never change. It's really annoying.

What does than mean ? Does it mean that you cant run a screen with 5120x1440 ?
