I'd try it again, often times this resolves the problem. Also try reseting your bios back to default, then just change SATA mode to AHCI.I have tried it. It dosen't work

You could also try running chimera again http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=164 on your unibeast USB.

Is your USB formatted correctly? Should bet FAT32/16 and MBR not Mac OS journaled and GUID partition.
Also manually select the drive at the MB logo screen.
