So, I bought a custom PC. Wasn't considering Hickintoshing it at the time. Now I am. Just hoping it's close enough that I might only have to change a thing or 2. Looking this up myself and mostly asking for confirmation on stuff I couldn't find. Thanks for any help
I want to use the Windows side for gaming/ school and stuff, and OS X side mainly for Logic X.
Also, I do have an older Macbook Pro that can run current versions of mac os x's. Read that that matters.
Compatible = yes; incompatible = no; unknown = dunno.
My current build:
CPU:
i7-4790K 4.00GHz, yes
MOBO:
GA-Z97X-GAMING 5, yes
Ram:
Patriot 8GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800, dunno
GPU:
Asus GeForce GTX 1060 6GD5, no. Not even the Nvidia one is compatible, so don't think this is either. But I intend to use the CPU's IGPU for the mac OS X if possible because that's compatible.
SSD:
Samsung 500GB 2.5in SATA3 850 EVO SSD, dunno
HDD:
Toshiba 1TB 3.5 SATA3 7200RPM 32MB 3.5", dunno
DVD:
LITEON 24x DVD±RW Dual Layer SATA, dunno
Lan (if this matters):
AD-NETGMA 10/100/1000 Gigabit Network Onboard, dunno
Wifi/bluetooth:
Gigabyte PCIe x1 Wifi 802.11ac/Bluetooth 4.0, dunno. Some say it isn't compatible. Some say it works for no reason.
