Here is the situation...
I updated my hackintosh to 10.13.6 and now want to revert back to a previous version. I did not clone the drive beforehand (I know...stupid mistake).
I decided to wipe the drive and re-install from the USB I used to build the machine...which had 10.13.3. However, when I run the installer...it automatically installs 10.13.6.
I have tried the following:
-removed my (hackintosh) devices from icloud and itunes
-tried the install without ethernet (this resulted in the error "Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted"...which then I tried the fix date in Terminal trick with no luck)
Why is the install automatically pulling the latest 10.13 version and can I somehow prevent this? My assumption was the USB installer would only install the version that it was built with, but that is not happening.
For reference, I believe I used unibeast 8.2.0 to create the USB, in case that helps.
thanks,
Jordy
