Help! OSX 10.13.2 Geforce 1080 Not showing up.

I just attempted to set up a egpu on my late 2014 mac mini running High Sierra using a Geforce GTX 1080 in a Akitio Node. The Node is connected through a thunder bolt 3 to 2 adapter to the computer. The card lights up and fans spin at first but I never received the prompt on my computer that a egpu has been connected. The system report shows the node is connected through thunderbolt but the graphics section of system report only shows my internal graphic's. I installed the Nvidia web driver and still nothing. Thanks all for any help you can give.

I had upgraded to 10.13.2 about 1 week ago and had no luck getting it to work with the new drivers and OS, lucky i keep constant back up's so I downgraded back down to 10.12.6 and was able to install it. Its now up and running. If anyone is able to get a Geforce GTX 1080 to work on 10.13.2 please let me know since at some point I would like to upgrade my os again.
