Help(new build)can't get full cpu support

I got ML 10.8.3 installed fresh on my Asus Rampage IV Gene with Bios 3301. I can get the system to boot to ML as long as i put the boot flag cpus=1. I'd like to utilize all my cores though i'm using a i7-3930k.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

other components are:
galaxy gtx 670 160g
hdd 160 gig [h=1]G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB 2133 (PC3 17000) Model F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL[/h]corsair h100 i cpu cooler
i7-3930k
asus rampage IV gene
