So i'm trying to hackintosh my old Dell XPS m1530, i get the Apple screen and the spinning circle stops, verbose mode says it stops on "PCI Configuration Begin"

Its not a blank drive, Windows 7 is on it at the moment...
Besides this snag, i'm new to this whole thing.

Is there a DSDT for the m1530?
Any m1530 users with some helpful tips?

Thanks a bunch, not easy being new to something :)

It stops over there because it cannot mount your drive. First set your BIOS to AHCI mode and if you are installing from usb then type this command.
npci=0×2000 -v
and make sure that you plugged your usb drive in the usb 2.0 slot.

Bios is in AHCI by default, i'm also installing on a main drive.... not on a USB.
But i can if thats what i have to do, i can just screw it back in the machine later.

Is the Windows 7 install getting in the way perhaps?

Windows can sometimes get in the way but the lion setup should detect you hdd drive. Since it is not getting detected due to a lack of a ata kext, you must boot via usb and install via usb.
