WINDOWS 10 DUAL BOOT

Seems to work nicely.

ISSUES

FREEZES
A lot of freezes.

The only workaround is to start in my Windows 10 and reboot into OSX.

CARDREADER
Not working. It is a Realtek PCI Express cardreader. There is no driver available.

DISTORTED LOADING BAR
IMG_8308.jpg

The workaround is to load clover in 1024x768 and a stretched clover theme. The loading bar and the apple logo will be stretched, but it is a working workaround.

TODOS
- check if I can use Apple Services.

...
When I compile the DTDT.dsl I created from the process there are a lot of Errors concerning syntax. I attached the file

There is no errors in DSDT.dsl if disassembled correctly.

Your file is not disassembled correctly.

Follow the ACPI patching guide carefully.

Thanks a lot. At first I extracted files via Clover. This caused me this error. Patchmatic worked perfect for me.

Could you help fixing more issues? I updated the first post.

Thanks a lot. At first I extracted files via Clover. This caused me this error. Patchmatic worked perfect for me.

The error with Clover F4 extract is because SSDT-5x.aml is a duplicate of SSDT-3.aml.
The fact that the Clover F4 method creates such duplicates is covered in the guide.

You can use Clover F4 extract simply by omitting SSDT-5x.aml from the disassembly process.

Could you help fixing more issues? I updated the first post.

I'll look at what you have so far...

MAIN ISSUE

FREEZES
A lot of freezes. It doesn’t look like that the OS is frozen completely. There is happening something. But super slow. I can’t even initiate an reboot.
This phenomenon is appearing especially when I try to work with the terminal or browsing with safari - for example it stops when I'm scrolling this text here.

Freezes with Broadwell graphics on 10.10 are well documented and experienced by many.
See if they still happen if you start Windows first, then restart into Yosemite.

Some are reporting it fixed with 10.11.

I used VoodooHDA (extracted from Multibeast via pacifist) to get Sound running at all. It’s not running very well. It’s poor quality, noisy and if I try to plug headphones it’ doesn’t sound nice. I temporarily deleted the kext.

I tried to get patched AppleHDA running using this guide:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/
My codec is ALC282. I tried HDAEnabler3.kext and Clover injection - both no effect. I read something about doing a Linux dump. How is this working?

Don't use an enabler. Do DSDT patches as noted in the FAQ and ACPI patching guide.

If you have trouble...

Download patchmatic: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-maciasl-patchmatic/downloads/RehabMan-patchmatic-2015-0107.zip
Extract the 'patchmatic' binary from the ZIP. Copy it to /usr/bin, such that you have the binary at /usr/bin/patchmatic.

In terminal,
Code:
if [ -d ~/Downloads/RehabMan ]; then rm -R ~/Downloads/RehabMan; fi
mkdir ~/Downloads/RehabMan
cd ~/Downloads/RehabMan
patchmatic -extract

Note: It is easier if you use copy/paste instead of typing the commands manually.

Post contents of Downloads/RehabMan directory (as ZIP).

Also, post ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

And output from:
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc

Also, post EFI/Clover folder.

BATTERY STATUS [/U]
I installed ACPIBatteryManager.kext. and tried 4x0 G1 battery DSDT patch from rehabman. I am getting a syntax error while compiling.

Battery patch is in the ProBook repo: https://github.com/RehabMan/HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch

CARDREADER
Not working. I read they newer ones are not supported. Is there a possibility of future kext?

Possible, but with the internet, no one cares to write a good driver for card readers.

GARBLED SCREEN
I tried to fix it via this the-darkvoid fix http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/145308-fix-resolve-boot-screen-garble.html
But didn’t work for me.

Post config.plist.

Garbled screen appears only in "UEFI Native” mode. Using "UEFI Hybrid” mode the garbled screen disappears but it seems that there is an issue with the resolution of clover and the apple boot screen. It is stretched.

That is typical. The boot glitch is usually not as bad with CSM (UEFI hybrid). Use a stretched theme to fix the aspect ratio issue in Clover.

SLEEPING WHEN LID IS CLOSED
Update: After patching Backlight it's going to sleep for 1 or 2 seconds and immediately wakes up again.

There are USB patches for instant wake in the ACPI patching guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/152573-guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.html
(patches to _PRW).

SMBIOS
Used this post from Shinzon:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/164292-smbios-broadwell.html#post1040286

View attachment 147089

Shows wrong CPU but right frequency. Is it possible to fix?

Could be Clover problem detecting CPU. Are you using latest Clover?

Is there a possibility to also fix the amount of IGP RAM?

Nothing to fix.

Works fine, but is there any possibility to change the keymap? For example my “alt” key is the Mac specific “cmd”.

By design. Look at the physical layout of a Mac keyboard to understand.

NOTE
I recognized the the first core is more active than all the other cores. I see that because I am using menu meters app.
I have another Ivy-Bridge Desktop build. Not such behavior.

Did you implement native power management? See ioreg request above.

The laptop is using not more than 1,5-2 GB of memory. (16GB installed)

How are you measuring?

if your freezes not broadwell depend, you could try ec-reset. it helped me on pb 4530s.

Do you need to change DVMT manually to get graphics working or any patches related DVMT?

I used ProBook Installer :|
and copy audio patch section from config.plist and it's work.

The freezes problem
only way i solve to boot to Windows and restart to OS X
Right, there is alc 282 in pbi.

Do you need to modify DVMT or patch the graphics kexts, or it just works oob?

I may prepare to add broadwell to pbi ce, I hope you can test it.

I only set in BIOS

And do boot windows , restart OSX
All patches i tried in graphics kexts, i got many "graphical" problem.
