Thirded. I got this after installing the nvidia drivers. Reboot didn’t help. The installer threw up an apparently non fatal error, but completed. I’d try a reinstall of the drivers, but first I need to get to the desktop.me too..
Could you attach your EFI folder zipped with themes removed?Thirded. I got this after installing the nvidia drivers. Reboot didn’t help. The installer threw up an apparently non fatal error, but completed. I’d try a reinstall of the drivers, but first I need to get to the desktop.
Have either of you had luck booting with nv_disable=1? Tried that this morning before I left for work, but at last count was stuck with both that screen and the Apple logo/progress bar superimposed, but much disk activity.
# SV="/Volumes/Macintosh HD"
# rm -R "$SV"/Library/Extensions/NVDA*
# rm -R "$SV"/Library/Extensions/GeForce*
# rm -R "$SV"/System/Library/Extensions/GeForce*Web*
# touch "$SV"/Library/Extensions
# touch "$SV"/System/Library/Extensions
# kextcache -u "$SV"

Also to uninstall the drivers from recovery, assuming your boot drive is still called "Macintosh HD"
Code:# SV="/Volumes/Macintosh HD" # rm -R "$SV"/Library/Extensions/NVDA* # rm -R "$SV"/Library/Extensions/GeForce* # rm -R "$SV"/System/Library/Extensions/GeForce*Web* # touch "$SV"/Library/Extensions # touch "$SV"/System/Library/Extensions # kextcache -u "$SV"
