Help... Mavericks with z170x-ud5 intell i7 geforce gtx960

Greetings. I'm trying to install Mavericks on my built hackintosh and I keep getting hung up at the gray apple logo screen. I'm not sure what to do as I'm new to this process.

My Build:
Gigabyte GA-z170x-ud5
Intel i7 6700k
Ballistix sport lt 32g ram
Corsair H55
GeFroce GTX-960
Crucial MX300 275gb ssd
WD Mainstream 1tb hd


Like I said I'm very new to this process and hope I didn't buy hardware that's incompatible. Please let me know if there are any workarounds. I've already tried to boot with -v -x and it goes through a bunch of text then goes to a black screen.

@Shwung, please update your profile (personal details) with your build (Motherboard, CPU and Graphics Card).

Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.

Skylake hardware is not supported on Mavericks.
You will need El Capitan 10.11.5 or higher.

Ok good to know. I tried to do an install with Sierra but when I got to the install and went to disc utility I could not see my hard drives for some reason... Why would that be?
