OK so an H270 series with the 7700, or the Z270 with 7700K .

here goes

OK - so we got the GA-Z270-HD3P. With i7700K.
Total newb...
I've found the FAKECPU field at the clover boot screen.
No joy - I get the Apple and progress bar but it freezes.
I have tested by disabling the audio and ethernet in the BIOS but same result.
Could it be the GTX750ti card that is installed? I did try boot using the onboard graphics, same result.
But I didn't actually remove the card?
Before I get lost down a long road - any pointers?

The GTX750Ti does require nvidia drivers. You can boot using nv_disable=1 to prevent issues with the GPU but you will need to boot using -v to see where the installation is sticking.
