Hi All.

I thought I followed Tonymac's buyers guide for the budget build customac to the tee.

Can't get past the apple logo with the spinning wheel.

I realized I bought the Z68A-D3H-B3 instead of the Z68MA-D2H-B3 as recommended by Tonymac.

Can I use this board or do I need the Z68MA.

If so, what do I need to do to it. I'm brand new at this.

Thanks.

Sorry, Trying to install ML 10.8 using unibeast

HELP GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 can't reach install

Thank you for the feedback.

I followed the build guide for the budget build exactly

Gigabyte GA-z68MA-D2H-B3
Intel Core i3-2105 cpu
8GB Corsair Vengence DDR3 RAM

Already had a case and power supply (450W)

Used a friend's MAC and downloaded Mountain Lion OS X and Unibeast for Mountain Lion 1.5.3

Followed the instructions for creating a bootable USB

I get to the boot screen OK. Have tried gaphicsenabler=no, -x, -v, -f, PCIRootUID=0

I always get to the white screen with the apple and it just spins. Can't get to the install screen.

Any Suggestions. I don't give up easy.

Are you using the HDMI port or the DVI? VGA is not working.

Try to boot with GraphicsEnabler=No.

I'm using the VGA port. Tried graphicsenabler=no.

Are you saying the VGA will not work.

I can try the DVI port with an adapter. Or get a new monitor maybe?

Try it out with an adapter. I guess it's cheaper...:mrgreen:

I made it to the install. Made a new bootable USB but chose GUID instead of MBR when I formatted it.

Now let's see if I can get through the rest of it.

Fingers crossed.

Yeah I had to install via dvi and then after I got it up and running I used HDMI cable for my mobo and monitor.
