Hope someone can help me make sense of this. Been racking my brain for hours.

My build is:
Gigabyte z370p d3
Intel i5 8400
Ingegrated graphics
osx Catalina

I'm trying to connect my ethernet but nothing is working. I've tried a bunch of different kexts and it does show up as installed (i've included screenshots) but it won't connect. I've tried different cables, different ports on my router and switch. It doesn't seem to want to connect.

Your motherboard uses a Realtek 1GB Ethernet controller, are you using a reasonably recent version of RealtekRTL8111.kext?
  1. Have you removed any unnecessary Intel/Atheros or other ethernet kexts you may have added to the boot loader kext folder?
  2. Have you installed any kexts in /Library/Extensions (/L/E) or /System/Library/Extensions (/S/L/E) folders?
    • If yes, then you need to remove them.
    • But make sure you repair permissions and rebuild the kernel cache before you reboot your system, otherwise you will make your Hack un-bootable.
Read this guide on why you shouldn't be using either the /L/E or /S/L/E folders for your kexts.
