I've been trying for a week now to get to the MacOS installer screen. I've read and re-read the Opencore os-vanilla-laptop guide, and have created the installer USB and plist countless times. This is my 5th or 6th hackbook, but the first with Opencore. Any advice on how to get a clean boot to the MacOS installer screen is greatly appreciated.

Behavior:
  1. Boot USB
  2. Select "Install macOS Catalina (external)" option in Opencore boot menu
  3. 1/2 a page of debug messages appear (attachment below)
  4. Boot freezes
Specs:
  • Dell 7573 (1920x1080)
  • Core i7-8550U (Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake southbridge)
  • Intel integrated UHD 620
  • 16 GB RAM
  • SK hynix SC401 M.2 SATA 512GB
Versions:
  • Opencore 0.5.7 Debug
  • macOS 10.15.4::1 refresh
Base settings:
  • Using MacBookPro14,3 SMBios
  • AAPL,ig-platform-id=0000C087
  • device-id=C0870000
Steps taken so far:
  • Clear NVRam (Multiple times)
  • Different SMBios 14,1 14,2 15,2
  • Rebuilt USB and EFI multiple times
Attached are copies of the boot log, and a .zip of my EFI folder (I'll replace the SMBios info later to preserve privacy)

No, I don't get a stop sign. It just hangs. I let it sit for 20 minutes. Also, the USB drive has an activity indicator, and it doesn't blink after it hangs.

I made it a little further. The issue was I had to enable Booter->Quirks->DevirtualizeMmio.

Now it's time to resolve the next kernel panic...
