Hello, I apologize for my weak English. assembled a new PC, I want to install catalina through opencore 0.5.9, but problems started at the very beginning of the installation (maybe in bios didn’t set the settings correctly or config.plist didn’t configure correctly). Maybe someone will look and tell me, what did wrong?
PC:
Motherboard ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4 (updated bios to the latest version);
RAM Crucial Ballistix 2x8GB 3200 BL2K8G32C16U4R;
CPU i5 10400F;
SSD M2 WD Blue SN550 NVMe 1TB;
Video Card PowerColor RX 5700 XT 8GB 8GBD6-3DH (device id 731F1002).
On this site I tried to configure config.plist: OpenCore-Desktop-Guide
1) Configured config.plist 2) Created a boot flash, mounted the efi disk and copied my efi folder to it. 3) Updated bios. I looked on the Internet, what settings you need to choose in bios - chose. 4) When you turn on the computer, press F11, a menu with a choice of disks appears, select efi, a menu appears: a) install macos, b) shell, c) reset nvram. I choose to install macos and after a couple of seconds on the screen what is in the photo.

Hey dude, this sounds very promising due this MB is very affordable.
Please, could you make a small guide? Or comment what's is not working?

Do you think that the EFI folder would work in ASROCK Z490m-ITX/ac.

Thanks. Regards.

Upon using your EFI, it's in a different language. How do I change to English? In the installer, I selected the 3 option from the left, top option; however, doesn't work.

To change the language in OP's EFI you need to change "prev-lang:kbd" (under NVRAM > Add > 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82) to type string and set the value to "en-US:0" minus the quotes.

The OpenCore guide gives the explanation why here. I followed it and was able to get to the post install part without a hitch. If anyone needs my EFI let me know, i have the tb3 version of the board currently set up for iGPU only

Yes please post your EFI as I would like to see the solution.

Thanks, Neil

I have successfully installed MacOS Catalina 10.15.5 with OpenCore 0.5.9 on my i5-10400F running on a ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4 and RX 5700 XT. All works perfect.

Hardware:
-Motherboard: ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4
https://catalog.onliner.by/motherboard/asrock/z490phantom4
-CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F
https://catalog.onliner.by/cpu/intel/i510400f
-GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB 8GBD6-3DH (device-id 0x731F1002)
https://catalog.onliner.by/videocard/powercolor/axrx5700xt8gbd6
-RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x8GB DDR4 PC4-25600 BL2K8G32C16U4R
https://catalog.onliner.by/dram/crucial/crucbl2k8g32c1ko
-SSD: WD Blue SN550 NVMe 1TB WDS100T2B0C
https://catalog.onliner.by/ssd/westerndigital/wds100t2b0c
-WiFi / Bluetooth:Broadcom BCM94360CS2
https://aliexpress.ru/item/32871539519.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2cf333edHllgK5
-Audio: Creative Sound Blaster Play! 3
https://catalog.onliner.by/soundcard/creative/sbplay3

What works:
-GPU (without prescribe device-id)
-WiFi / Bluetooth (native)
-Sound (native)
-Speedstep / Turbo boost
-Handoff / Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac
-Facetime / iMessage / App Store / Apple TV+ / Apple Music (all standard apple applications)
-Sleep / Wake / Restart
-USB (all USB type A & USB type C)

What doesn't work:
-Thunderbolt 3 at the moment (I’ll make it work later)

I made a video in which I showed my hardware, build EFI, write Catalina to a USB flash drive, install Catalina 10.15.5 on Hackintosh with OpenCore 0.5.9. The video will consist of two parts (I am from Belarus, so the video is in Russian languages):

-Part I: I will talk about the components that I picked up; I will show how to configure config.plist; what to add to the EFI folder; create a bootable flash.

-Part II: I will show BIOS settings; install macOS Catalina 10.15.5 on the HDD; I will tell and show what works and what doesn't work.

Here is my EFI (work in progress, i will update this post with changes). Couple notes for everyone:
I have disabled the internal usb ports to stay under the 15 port but 14 are active so theres room for one more. The active ones include internal bluetooth and the led controller.
Opencore is 0.5.9 debug version. its really easy to switch to the release version.
This is igpu only for now
sleep/wake is workingish - it sleeps and gets out of sleep fine but after a little while of sleeping it will wake on its own.
I have taken out my platform info so you can fill in your own (if handoff and such is important to you), i recommend looking how to here https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Desktop-Guide/config.plist/comet-lake.html#platforminfo

Posting to subscribe with great interest. I have an Asrock Z490 ITX/AC as well with trying to make it work with the iGPU and so far the various EFI I tried just gets a reboot in the middle of loading the Catalina installer.

Hey, have you gotten the IGPU to work on this motherboard? I can't start the installer.
Thank you,
