Hi there,
I have a G74SX laptop, running MLion, which needs some fixes. About audio, I tryed voodooHDA.kext but it has several issues. So I am trying a patched appleHDA.kext for alc269, which seems to work on g73sw, as ralf_64 testified in this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-laptop-support/61769-g73sw-g74sw-gm-install-coming-soon.html

Unfortunately it doesn't work that good on my model, which should be almost identical apart of graphic card. Mic internal and external works perfectly, headphones too, but no way to let laptop speaker work.

I made some research, and I found this post: http://legacy.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=170&t=58422
In here, MlyDinEsH explains how he reached it to work editing applehda.kext. Reading this post, I started to think that problem could be a different disposition of jacks used by my laptop, so that internal speakers are addressed somewhere, but should target another address. In this post MlyDinEsH explains also this:
MlyDinEsH said:
edit the Item "CodecID" to 283902569,
"ConfigData" to "<01471c40 01471d01 01471e13 01471f99 01871c20 01871d10 01871e81 01871f04 01971c10 01971d01 01971ea0 01971f99 02171c50 02171d10 02171e21 02171f04 01470c02>"
[ Here, in this config data the nodes for the jacks are 14(Int Speaker), 18(Ext Mic), 19(Int Mic) and 21(Ext headphone), so edit according to yours]
Now, If I understood, I have to make a codec dump file from linux (which I did). But I don't understand 2 things:

1) How to understand, from this codec dump, the jacks which are used in my laptop
2) How to translate this values from things like "14(int speaker)" to something like "01471c40 01471d01 01471e13 01471f99"

I tryed to find a clear guide on internet without success, so if someone could help, I'd really appreciate.

Thanks in advance

EDIT: adding codec_dump.txt

thanks a lot! I'll read all this. I'll give a look to both.
Yesterday I found by myself the second post you linked via google, after many many tryes. I tryed to follow the guide, but had some problems.

At beginning, the problem was to translate in svg files the codec dump. Apparently MLion hadn't some library needed. So I tryed with lion, and extracted the svg.
I went on, but verbit didn't seem to work, so I couldn't make the last steps.

Anyway, I am closer to the solution. I link in here my files.

Update. Forgot to post results from infos gained from windows registry:

<01271CF0 01271D11 01271E11 01271F41 01471CF0 01471D11 01471E11 01471F41 01771CF0 01771D11 01771E11 01771F41 01871C30 01871D18 01871EA1 01871F04 01971C3F 01971D09 01971EA3 01971F99 01A71CF0 01A71D11 01A71E11 01A71F41 01B71C10 01B71D01 01B71E13 01B71F99 01D71C2D 01D71D9A 01D71E07 01D71F40 01E71C20 01E71D01 01E71E43 01E71F99 02171C1F 02171D10 02171E21 02171F04>

Now I don't understand these numbers are so different from those inside the kext. there are 2 things I don't understand.

1) with the patched applehda.kext used by ralf_x64 3 channels worked fine (int mic, ext mic, headphones). So I expected the same values for these 3 channels. But there are just similarities, just few values are the same.
2) Inside the kext there are much less values, there are in fact:
<01471c40 01471d01 01471e13 01471f99 01871c20 01871d10 01871e81 01871f04 01971c10 01971d01 01971ea0 01971f99 02171c50 02171d10 02171e21 02171f04 01470c02>
So I guess some of the values I found are just not useful (?).
