Where do you set the partition mapping? Is the partition mapping something that you set for the bootable disc when you're erasing it using the Disk Utility?

[Nevermind!] I found my answer in this article: https://support.apple.com/guide/disk-utility/partition-a-physical-disk-dskutl14027/mac (under the Erase and repartition a device header)

It was set to MBR. I have erased it and re-partitioned using GPT (GUID Partition Map). I will update when I have retried installing.

I am trying to do an install of Mojave with a Asus Prime Z390-A MoBo and i9 - 9900k CPU. But I am running into a bit of a roadblock. I have created a bootable disk the using UniBeast. Then I plug that USB into a USB slot on the back of the mobo, turn on the rig and hold delete at the proper time to open up the BIOS. At this point however, I do not see the USB drive as a bootable device. I have turned off Secure Boot and I have all of the settings the same as the first post on this page:

I have removed the PK Management keys so as to allow the MoBo to deactivate Secure Boot mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the USB drive to show up as a bootable disk? I have tried 3 different USB drives and all of the USB ports on the computer, and I am having no luck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
I have the same board with same CPU. Make sure you follow the create UniBeast usb guide exactly and don’t skip any steps. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ported-intel-based-pc.259381/#create_unibeast

Also, did you try another USB stick?

Yeah I figured out from Ploddles last comment that I had actually been accidentally completely missing the part where it tells you explicitly in part 3 "you must first select View / Show All Devices before you can see the USB drive there". That was my issue. I am now able to see the USB drive now that I have actually set the partition map correctly

Thanks to everyone for the help in overcoming my lack of paying attention to what I was missing.

I’m pretty sure it is.
I was reading text from a phone, couldn't see the image which actually shows it, when I looked back on a desktop :)

Have you solved?
