Hi, i have an asus p6t ws professional with snow leopard 10.6.6 installed with method iboot+multibest.

I cannot find a dsdt for my motherboard and have extracted it with gentoo.

Everithing work perfectly except the poweroff, when i click shutdown the system is exiting fine but the pc remain powered with a black screen.

And sometimes when i use a cd in my drive when i eject it the tray not open and osX say
"Inserted a blank cd"... but the cd in drive is full.

Please any suggestion are appreciated.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

Moved post to General Tuning since question topic is on a problem with a working system, not specifically on DSDT problems.

Yes Stork I'm sorry for post in wrong area.

ijhu No i used "User dsdt install" with my extracted dsdt from gentoo

I suppose that installation of dsdt goes fine, in /Extra i have DSDT.aml with the same size of the original file.

Yes is the same, but my problem remain. I see that poweroff sometimes work but 90% black screen. Is strange.

Is the P6 BIOS close enough to the P7 BIOS that you could use this guide viewtopic.php?f=81&t=2067 ?

I just bough this motherboard. Asus P6T WS Pro. It'll have 24 GB's of ram and a Xeon 2.53 GHz processor in it. I'll use this link to get everything up and working. I'll post with updates on the project. Nvidia 8600GS Silent. I need to order my case and my CPU heatsink. I'm thinking these two. :

I'm not sure if it works yet as I'm too scared/new/inexperienced to try it. I'm having issues with Multibeast failing when I select System Utilities.

If you try it will you post results if its good to go?
