I have successfully installed SL (osx 10.6.8 10k549) on my HP 4530s. It is lacking wifi which is hopefully being sorted here.

Today I realised I can't output to an external monitor - VGA or HDMI.

The only test I've been able to work out is QE/CI IS enabled.
(Open Dashboard and add a widget. If you see cool ripples, QE/CI are enabled.)

I'm really lost what to do.

Here is a report of my system which I made while booted into PuppyLinuk.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Does this report help??

Make sure you installed follow the guide here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-4530s/78905-guide-installing-snow-leopard-hp-probook.html

Thanks for your reply. I followed your wonderful guide to the letter.

Is there anything else I can try?
Would upgrading to Lion possibly help?

Appreciate any ideas. I'm kinda desperate to get the second monitor working...

Definitely HDMI works with Lion/ML/Mavericks. Not sure about Snow Leopard. I would recommend Mavericks.

<<Update>> My HDMI now works!

I did a clean install of Mavericks and it now works. :headbang:

Thanks for your help guys
