HDMI port not working on HP OMEN 15

Status
Not open for further replies.
No changes...
I've installed EmuVariableUefi-64.efi, added RC scripts and updated clover to the latest version. Also I've removed NVWebDriverLibValFix.kext.

My nvidia card is only recognized as NVIDIA Chip Model with 0MB of VRAM and I've no signal from HDMI port.

I've notified that when I boot my system, in section of Graphics Injections of Clover bootloader it says "number of videocards:1" I don't know if it is right or not...
Is it possible that no one have a similar hardware configuration? :(

I attach new files.

What do you see from the Nvidia menu bar app?

What do you see from the Nvidia menu bar app?
I see nvidia icon that says that I'm using Web Driver instead of OSX base driver. I've tried to switch between them but there are no changes.
I don't found any thread about my gpu, in some threads they are talking about 950,960,970, I think that mine are part of these generations...

So the Nvidia driver is loading, but not working.

I see that also necessary kexts are loaded (Lilu, NvidiaGraphicsFixup, ecc)
Yes, but probably driver would also load if I've no gpu installed, I'm not sure...

I've notified that when I attach my HDMI cable the TV reacts as It receives signal but display remain black. (it is different if I plug HDMI when my laptop is switched off, and tv don't react to HDMI cable).

I've found this thread https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/ssdt-gpu-graphics-card-injection.183354/ and I've tried to make these changes to my DSDT but the problem is not solved. I think that I don't need dsdt injection because NVIDIA is correcly displayed in MAC OS.

Maybe it can be a problem about framebuffer and port mapping ?? I'm confused... :(

What do you think about? Thanks again! :)
Do you think it is normal that Clover recognizes only 1 GPU (the integrated one)?

You should check in Windows to determine which graphics controller your HDMI port is connected to.

I've checked from screen control that my TV connected with HDMI cable is referred to NVIDIA card. is it enought or I need to check it in another way?

I've checked from screen control that my TV connected with HDMI cable is referred to NVIDIA card.

Then you need to focus on getting your Nvidia device to work.
You might look (google) for info on similar hardware (laptop with dedicated GTX 965M) to get clues.
