So I've been reading through some of the threads about getting HDMI audio to work. I have an XFX AMD Radeon 6870 connected to an Asus P6P67 Pro (v3) running 10.7.2. I understand the first thing to do is look at the DSDT.aml file. However I don't believe there is one for my motherboard, so I'm assuming I have to generate one myself? I downloaded the DSDT patchfile and editor from maldon's site. I extracted the DSDT file and applied the patchfile (P8P67.txt), however I got something like 80 errors when I tried compiling.
Am I heading down the right path so far? The system is working very well without a DSDT file, but I would like to get HDMI audio to work with as little effort as possible.
