So Interestingly, the freezing does not happen with 18,1 17,1 or 14,2, but none of them allow 2 displays either, even if I patch the framebuffer for the correct connector type, some refuse to load the screen, and some load it but the first screen frame corrupts or freezes until I remove the second one. All but 18,3 also gets rid of the window server unknown graphics errors.
Also interesting is that with 18,1 even when I drive the Igpu hard, with intel power gadget reading full throttle, appleintelinfo only show 2,5 in the igpu pstates. I tried restarting to see if it was a fluke but it is the same.
I will try disabling GFX0>IGPU as it is supposed to be a single gpu system. With 18,3, I had the whole spread on the igpu.
*Edit, disabling GFX>IGPU brought back the IGPU PM spread for 18,1. I attached another zip named nogfx0toigpu that has appleintelinfo output along with the usual stuff. Still no go on the second screen, it stops mirroring verbose at the point in which [IGPU] messages kick in, which I assume are coming from intel graphics fixup.
Also with 18,1 the system spends a lot more time on (13), treating it as the max efficiency for a while. See screenshot.
For the sake of completeness, debug zip as 18,1 attached.
The other thing to note is that I have the second display issue happening the exact same way if I install a rx560.
