Hi!

I've did a successful install on MacOS Mojave on my Acer Aspire A717 laptop. The HD630 GPU is detected and works, but I get annoying banding/gradient colors.

I attached the EFI/Clover folder, IOReg, kext cache output, patchmatic output and system info screenshot.

way too many files in drivers64UEFI folder

no essential kexts in clover/kexts/other, this will mess up any updates you try and do (AppleBacklightFixup.kext is not an essential kext)

not sure why have NVDAStartupWeb.kext installed

kext not installed correctly:
Code:
Kext rejected due to improper filesystem permissions: <OSKext 0x7fcd91696000 [0x7fffa7c118f0]> { URL = "AppleBacklight.kext/ -- file:///System/Library/Extensions/", ID = "com.apple.driver.AppleBacklight" }

all kexts you need belong in /Library/Extensions

MacBookPro14,1 would be a better choice

I fixed the kext errors, installed kexts to L/E and copied essential kexts to EFI/Clover/ketxs/Other

I still get an error on AppleBacklightFixup.kext, even though Lilu.kext is installed and allowed.
Code:
Kext with invalid signatured (-67062) allowed: <OSKext 0x7f8167199610 [0x7fff9b5e48f0]> { URL = "Lilu.kext/ -- file:///Library/Extensions/", ID = "as.vit9696.Lilu" }
...
Kext with invalid signatured (-67062) allowed: <OSKext 0x7f816719e300 [0x7fff9b5e48f0]> { URL = "AppleBacklightFixup.kext/ -- file:///Library/Extensions/", ID = "com.hieplpvip.AppleBacklightFixup" }
AppleBacklightFixup.kext - no compatible dependency found for as.vit9696.Lilu.

Modified SMBIOS to MacBookPro14,1
No change on display color.

Using the method described in the second post (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...lur-and-images-in-mojave.262566/#post-1834064) fixed it. Thanks!

Not sure if this is relevant, but I get an error on WhateverGreen.kext I downloaded from the post
Code:

kxld[as.vit9696.WhateverGreen]:     DeviceInfo::create()

Must install matched set of Lilu and plugins.
Use latest Lilu.kext + plugins (AppleBacklightFixup.kext, WhateverGreen.kext, AirportBrcmFixup.kext, etc are Lilu plugins).

Updated Lilu.kext and all plugins, no error messages and backlight control finally working. Thank you!
