HD 4000 Dual monitors with VGA.

Is it possible on Yosemite? I tried connecting a second monitor through VGA cable connection but nothing happens. Am I missing something?

At least, there are any kexts available that allows me to change brightness and contrast levels.
These options are not even showing.

Which monitor? Internal or external?
