Yep, running smoothly thanks to you and your team.

can't upgrade yet :( have to finish important work before it is safe to update!
looking forward to it though!

Is it possible to upgrade via the system update (/App store), without unibeast?

With the new Uni/MultiBeast tools this has been the easiest upgrade yet. I now have 3 fully working Hackintoshes.

Dell Vostro 220 (Audio uses a $5 USB adaptor)
Dell Vostro 260 (Audio uses a $5 USB adaptor)
Gigabyte Series 8/Haswell CustoMac that is fully fully working.

I've come close to getting my ASUS K55A laptop working, but no joy so far.

Personally, I always like to wait until a couple of updates to do an OS update.

Mountain Lion, has been extremely stable for me from 10.8.3 on to 8.5. So, I will just stay here for now.

I hope that Apple allows the new versions of their software to work on 10.8.5. I can only hope.

I waited until I made a full working/booting backup and then went for it.

I followed your suggestions/guide and only needed to reinstall the audio side of MB6 for my motherboard. Once I got it it back to "normal" I then experimented with some odd issues.

1) I installed the HWMonitor and it's plug-ins but I can't them to work, however, iStatPro version 3 (!) still works so I'm not bothering to figure out HWMonitor.

2) I had to temporarily boot using a Clover USB drive in order to get my iWork and iMovie updates to download.

3) Speech & Dictation finally WORK! I checked ON the "Use Advanced Dictation" and after a short download the dictation now works beautifully! Now if I could remember to use it when I need to type (like here!)

Thank You!
