Background

Hi guys; this my second build my first build was built for my father as he wanted a strong machine for his work it was an ivy bridge i5 3570k, z77x-ud5h, 16gb ram and gtx 760 4gb. So this is second build is mine i am really into filmaking and post production, i am even learning 3d animation and modeling. I am on budget right now so i needed a computer that would to finish things more quickly to be strong and stable so i nested most of my money in the CPU till now but later on i will be adding maybe gtx 760 4gb or a gtx 770 4gb and also another 8gb of ram but right now i am good with the intel HD 4600 graphics.

Installation Notes

Before we begin for the new Haswell Refresh CPUS codenamed “Devil’s Canyon” mixed with the 8 series motherboards you must update your bios first in order for the motherboard to accept it. I will setting up a Raid 0 with the two SSD so i will be installing the os and the kexts and everything on separate
hdd and then cloning in it into the raid.

so first i installed mavericks 10.9 by following the Tonymacx86 guide right here
http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

for MultiBeast settings I used the latest version 6.3 for installing everything except for the sound as there is a problem with ALC 892 in both versions the 6.2 and 6.3 when you put the machine into sleep and then wake it up it stops working so I used version 6.1 for the sound and bam sound is working like a charm

for Setting up the Raid 0 Array i used this two guides
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...-0-os-x-10-8-5-using-tonymacx86-tool-set.html

What Works (Tested)
-Sleep
-Wake
-USB 3.0
-Power Management
-HW Monitor

Not Working
-VGA Intel HD 4600

Problem with Ethernet

Hey guys; when I unplug my Lan cable and plug it back in, it doesn't connect to the internet but instead Of saying connected it says Self-Assigned ip so in order to connect back to the internet I have to restart the computer.

Nice build, however the code name "Devil's Canyon" only refers to the unlocked "K" cpus that just were released at Computex. Your i7-4790 is Haswell Refresh, but not Devil's Canyon.

Which motherboard did you use? Did you use the same one as the original poster?

Thanks.

I used a GA-H97M-D3H
I have the chip running nicely at 4.5Ghz just used the performance upgrade on the mobo and its running
cool with a vcore of 1.21
