The mod is awesome, I really like it. I was looking for the IO bracket, can you tell me where you got yours? I found the "iceman" on taobao but it seems very hard to contact him.

Google search "the laser hive" and contact them about it. You'd need to to use the exact motherboard for it to work with that I/O panel though.

I'm very curious about the touch sensor. Love what you did with in this build. Would like to do something similar on my Cube - NUC.
One thing that is not clear to me, how is the touch sensor connected to the NUC motherboard. I'm sure you have already covered it in some post. Have not found it yet.
I have been looking at this for my Cube:

Not sure what the requirements on the spec is. My electro schematics skills are pretty low.

Sorry I missed this.

The touch sensor gives a momentary high output when a finger approaches. I used that together with a electronic relay chip ( the signal from the touch sensor is used to activate the "coil" of the really) to connect the two power switch pins momentarily so as to simulate the action of a normal PC power switch.

I cover this aspect in my build log here http://www.tonymacx86.com/others/128962-nuc-mac-mini-case-5.html#post796740

There are so many good mods for desktop macs. Yours is one of the most awesome and at the same time easiest that I ever seen here in the forum. If I ever get one of this mac mini I will do your mod, Do you think that it will be made with an older mac mini? I mean, with the whites one?

Greetings!

this guy is still selling some parts in taobao.com

Just curious what it cost you to make the back I/O panel ?

Hi Minihack,
very great project.
I should like to re-create your build, but there is a possibility to add a further 2,5' HD near the nuc mobo?
thank you.
