Haswell-E + X99 Motherboard Temporary Guide - OS X 10.9.4 / 10.9.5

Status
Not open for further replies.
Thanks so much for the cinebench score...really makes this build attractive, who knows where it can go with overclocking.
Reading through the thread, the build is presently seemingly way beyond my ability...but just may give it a try once things settle down a bit
Thank you all for a great chunk of work

hi everyone:

I'm sure that the Intel HDA codec is 0x8086208D
and I was patch the AppleHDA.kext
but it is not worked for me.(No output device found)
even change the HDEFLayoutID with 01000000,02000000,03000000
the same message to me is "No output device found"
anything I was missing?

#In Lan Update
After test other browser,
this problem may a application bug with X99.

this board with the Killer E2205
After MultiBeast the network looks fine.
When start to video streaming like youtube....
it will loss connect with the server ,but the PPoE not disconnect...
and you still can visit other website like google,yahoo....etc
I really have no idea about this.

#In MultiBeast
Use the MultiBeast in Quick Start tab ,if you select the EasyBeast.
then you must have to install the ElliottForceLegacyRTC
but it will make a error when mach_kernel start up.
how could I fix that? or this kext was not a necessary option?

Allen

Why did you install Hwplugins? it doesn't work.. or yes?

Ev0rboot= not necessary in my X99
SSDT i7 oc from multibeast work perfetcly ?

First Hack ever. No experience (but did study this site for 1.5 year ;-)
Friday I will get my build with i7 5930K, Asus X99- Deluxe, MSI GTX 970 Gaming, Crucial DDR4, Samsung Pro SSD, Noctua D14, etc. I'd like to get OSX running (as soon as possible,) but untill I do I will use Winblows :(

I am surprised that there seem to be people with a working X99 system already, though no one I think with the newest GTX 970.

- If I follow @Tonymacx86 'guide' from this post and your suggestions such as from:
I can confirm 10.9.5 patches work on my hardware. As easy as following TonyMac's instructions. Thanks.
this is what I have done

- is there a good chance it works or would you suggest a beginner to wait for 'better/ more easy' support?
- I'd like dual boot (as OSX will not work well in the beginning) and don't want to break 'Windows' in the process. If I install OSX on a 2nd SSD disk will all the patches/ bios changes/ kext not influence my Windows system from working correctly?

Hi Sam:

I haven't overclocking or run benchmark on this platform.
so I don't know MultiBeast SSDT i7 oc work perfectly or not.

Do you have audio to work perfectly?

#In Audio
Use tools to look some audio codec.....
ALZA@1B
the address is currently.(intel HDA B:0,D27,F:0)
http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/x99-chipset-pch-datasheet.pdf
But name is not HDEF, is that effect the AppleHDA.kext?
In DPCIManager the audio Device 0x80868D20(Intel HDA) but the codec ID is empty.

in my case, i already use a external soundcard so it is not important for me if the audio driver works.
however Tony has given a link to install audiodriver with a patch --> http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/134002-quick-fix-onboard-audio-9-series-motherboards.html

Hi Allen,
I am also having trouble getting my audio codec working. There are guides and as far as I can tell, I've patched everything, but the frustration isn't worth it. I'm waiting for a pre-patched version to be put into MultiBeast or uploaded by a lucky fellow. As far as I can tell, most if not all X99 boards use the new ALC1150 codec. I am currently using a USB audio device for my sound - makes things a lot easier in times of trouble.

@ Heartthorb003 the name DOES need to be HDEF. AZAL will not work. You can fix it with a dsdt edit (also would probably be possible with an hda enabler, but I haven't tried it that way).

Attach IOReg and MaciASL/File/Export Tableset ..

I am looking to get the same motherboard and CPU.. So I will watch and pray for your success

The safest way afaik, is to install windows with only the one windows SSD conected. Then take that SSD out and then put the 2nd SSD, install OSX. Connect other drives after this.
Then select the boot disk at boot (DEL or F12 or whatever). My first hackintosh, I got something similar to this:
http://www.amazon.com/KingWin-2-5-Inch-Internal-Tray-Less-KF-251-BK/dp/B00475DQ6Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411584557&sr=8-1&keywords=5.25+dual+ssd+hot+swap

I would just pop out the windows/OSX drive depending on which OS I wanted to boot to. No going into BIOS.. just brute force :p
