Have a feeling we may see a BIOS update to remedy, but Clover will likely boot fine.

ok thanks Tony; i already updated :(
but i have an other issue. PCI CONFIGURATION BEGIN.
i made correclty the installation with unibeast and choose with MB options : DSDT FREE + Macpro 6,1 +VoodooTSCSync.kext for 8 cores.

i'm stuck.. i tested -x -f npci=0x2000 etc..

It can depend on the graphics card- i used If you're booting from USB, then choosing System drive, make sure you type npci=0x2000 in addition to having it in your plist on the USB. I used a GT 430 in my testing with DVI port using GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x2000. Your GTX 760 should use default GraphicsEnabler=No and npci=0x2000. Haven’t had time to test on a Kepler card.

I am able to boot with npci=0x2000 with 2x GTX 660s. GraphicsEnabler=No is default and works fine.

Onboard audio (at least in 10.9.4) will require another patch to work- just like 9-series workaround for Realtek onboard Audio. The reason for this is that Intel has changed the codec device id from 0x80868C20 to 0x80868D20 .

To get audio to work on X99, you must binary patch 4 instances of 20 8C to 20 8D in the AppleHDAController binary. http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/134002-quick-fix-onboard-audio-9-series-motherboards.html

8 Series/C220 Series Chipset High Definition Audio Controller
http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/8086/8c20

9 Series Chipset Family HD Audio Controller
http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/8086/8ca0

and now:

C610/X99 series chipset HD Audio Controller
http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/8086/8d20

I haven't tested this yet, but it should work with any pre-patched AppleHDA with Chimera/Chameleon or in config.plist in Clover.

merci Insanecultist
what settings did you use in multibeast?

Edit: well I stopped. I'm waiting for someone to succeed with Asus Motherboard.

Thanks Tony.

Cannot get Clover to boot, probably because I am unfamiliar with it. I will patch audio on my GA-X99-UD4 for ALC1150 and report back.

-IC

EDIT:

Binary Patch with that device ID works for ALC1150 on my GA-X99-UD4. I have functional audio. Will test further, but at the moment, Green Rear out works, which is enough for me.

EDIT2:

USB audio still working fine.

EDIT3:

System is mostly functional. No iMessage, and still booting from Unibeast drive, but audio is great with the binary patch, VoodooTSCSync gives use of all 6 cores, and the kernel patch is very stable. No sleep as of yet, and I also can confirm that Power Gadget does not install, but those fixes should come in time. Thanks to everyone who has helped, this is a great success.

Good to hear- thanks for testing and reporting back.

I extracted the contents of the Intel Power Gadget .pkg with the Unarchiver, and managed to install the framework and kext manually. Then after reboot the app worked. For me the system is stuck with one cpu state no matter what i use. More testing needed, including patching DSDT to enable LPC etc...

Hey I glad to hear that.

You can post your IOreg ? To make a dummy kext for the ahci. To change the IOClass AppleAHCI into the IOClass AppleIntelPchSeriesAHCI(On the system profiler appears as X99 instead Generic sata)
