ok you need help, so..

all you have to do is to copy some modifed kexts from Stinga11 in S/L/E
is uniquely for 5960x otherwise: Still PCI CONFIGURATION BEGIN.
i will send you the link by PM where you can dwld this kexts.
A donation to Stinga11 will be nice. i can send you his contact.
Be carefull you have to wait a little bit after having read Pci confg... maybe 30s.

Does this same method work on the Gigabyte X99-UD4 and the 5960x? If so could you please sent it to me as well please! Thank you for the help!

Hi there,

I've followed this thread and after some mad days I now have a nicely performing machine. Unibeast / Clover with the values from jackie099 Thanks a lot to everyone!

But I have an important issue. This machine is supposed to replace my old MacPro and I want to work with Resolve and Adobe Premiere CS 6. But in Premiere I have a problem playing back media. I can open files and import files an even render media, but I do not get video playback, no matter what type of media. When I press "play" or try j, k, or l, nothing happens. Scrubbing through the videos works though, and also moving frame by frame. I have cuda enabled by adding the graphics card to the adobe list, and rendering of previews and media is really fast, but no playback. Also FCP-X hangs up, when I try to import large prores files. Does anyone have a clue? Same issues?

GA-X99-UD5 WIFI
i7 5820
Geforce GTX 770 4GB

Tried out toleda's audio patches, but had some problems with having a case sensitive boot disc.

Modified both scripts to replace "Plugins" with "PlugIns" and "plistbuddy" with "PlistBuddy".

# sed "s/Plugins/PlugIns/g" < audio_alc_x99-hda-100_patch.command > alc && mv alc audio_alc_x99-hda-100_patch.command

# sed "s/plistbuddy/PlistBuddy/g" < audio_realtekALC-100_v1.0.1.command > rtk && mv rtk audio_realtekALC-100_v1.0.1.command


The alc script seemed to work after that, but the realtek script produced an error:

"S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext is not native
Install native AppleHDA.kext"

Will look for "native" AppleHDA,kext and try again.

woe is me

recreated the unibeast usb.
copied the kext from sting11 in system/library/extension
removed VoodooTSCSync. and fakesmc from extra folder
patched via terminal
added at plist kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x2000
flaged with:

-v -f -x kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x2000 nv_disable=1 cpus=1
!pci conf




-v -x kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x3000 cpus=1 GraphicEnabler=No
!kernel


-x -f -v nv_disable=1
!pci conf


-v -f npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 nv_disable=1
!pci conf

but still pci configuration begin

any idea?

Hello, as an x99-deluxe + 5960 person, I would also greatly appreciate the link for this as well, as I'm stuck at PCI CONFIGURATION BEGIN as well.
