Has anyone tried this to avoid lowering your multiplier?

I saw this when Tony posted the story about the MBP 10.6.7 update here

"Just remove the appleintelcpupowermanagment kext,
then change your multiplier back, I suggest over clock by 5%
I am running my 2600 at 3.56GHz
Tell me if I am wrong but all the kext above does is take advantage of the turbo boost, and seeing as it was built mainly for a lower spec'd cpu its KP.
So my machine is not using the turbo boost, but it's constantly running higher anyway, I have ran handbrake for two hours all cores working their hearts out and I haven't had one crash or issue.

Can someone tell me if does this kext control cpu fan speed? when working?"

Anyone else tried this to see if it worked?

Nice, so what exactly does that do, I've been trying to read around but can't find a definitive answer as to what appleintelcpumanagement does. What does nullcpu do in its place?

I deleted appleintelcpumanagement. it caused timeout on boot. now it boots faster.
now my objective is to set up boot raid0 with partitions for osx and win7. still get troubles to boot only iboot works.

Just had success in booting soft raid0 (stripped), but my machine isnt recognised (profiler lies its 4.30ghz xeon) and slow graphics. still need to tinker something.. so far not bad..

For RAID0, you need to do a LOT of heavy coding to get it to work with strings and DSDT.
