Hi all,

I tend to use my rig for mostly gaming, but I generally don't do high-end gaming like Quake or whatever. My list generally involves:

Simulations: Cities:Skylines, Kerbal Space Program, etc.
RPG: World of Warcraft, EVE Online, Elder Scrolls Online, etc.
Strategy: Starcraft and the like

Particularly for the simulation games, once my city/fleet/whatever gets built up, performance lags badly. Thus, I'm considering a hardware upgrade. My question to you all is what would be the most effective? I think CPU or graphics or possibly both.

The current setup:

i5 3.5Ghz
ASRock H97M Pro4
Crucial SSDs (CT2050MX300, CT1024MX200)
Nvidia GeForce GT 740 (single slot) with 4G of vram
Philips PHL 277E6
4x8GB Ballistix BLT8G3D1608DT1TX0
Sierra (High Sierra soon as I'm willing to risk it/have time to deal with potential issues)

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks!

Edit: VR is a less important goal, but still exists. Haven't done it yet, but it might be interesting. I know, drivers are lacking for OSX, but I dual boot when I have to.
