SOLVED! Hard drive not detected during Lion Unibeast install

The hard drive (WD 500gb Caviar Blue) is connected to the SATA 1 port, and it connected to SATA3 not SATA6, and yet it isn't being detected at the installer or disk utility. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? The Bios does recognize that the hard drive is connected. Thank you.

Try booting with rd=disk0s1. Also what format is the drive?

The drive format should be irrelevant. In order to install lion you have to format the drive through disk utility anyway. I will try the command.

Make sure that the Unibeast USB drive is plugged into a USB 2.0 port, not a USB 3.0 port.

That's all I got.

Thanks for trying to help, but i have all my USB3s converted to USB2s anyway.

Hard disk still not showing up in the installer or disk utility, even with booting with the command.

Try using BridgeHelper 4.0.1, and not the latest one. I have had the same issue, using 4.0.1 has worked for me.

Good call, I like that idea, I'll give it a try when I get home from work this evening.

hey bud, I can't find a downloadable link for BridgeHelper 4.0.1, do you know of one?
