Disregard specs on the sidebar; this is a new build.

I'm using a ASRock Z170 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard with a 6700k -- taken right off the April buyer's guide. I'm trying my best to follow the step-by-step guide for El Capitan (here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...-el-capitan-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html). I successfully disabled VTD and the serial port in the BIOS, but I don't see any mentions of the other things (CFG-Lock, Secure Boot Mode, Other OS, or XHCI Handoff), so I've otherwise left the BIOS as is. (There is no "Optimized Defaults" for this motherboard.)

When I try to boot from the USB drive, I do get the Clover boot up screen, but when I then tell it to launch the El Cap installer, I get the black screen, white Apple logo, and a progress bar that freezes at 0%.

Tried it multiple times with minor tweaks; no difference.

In accordance with this troubleshooting article (http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...-capitan-install-problems.html#CategoryFreeze), I'm told to post a photo of where it gets stuck in verbose mode. I've just done that.

Please let me know if you have any ideas! I am totally stuck otherwise.

I just tried updating the BIOS (successfully -- went from 1.5 to 3.5) and then repeated my boot. It still freezes at the same point, and when I check it in verbose mode, the message is now slightly different:

Update for anyone else dealing with the same thing: I have tentatively fixed this by turning on "FixOwnership" in clover config.plist.
