[HALF-SUCCESS] iTunes 12.7 constantly crashing (random messages)

@deejayts @VioletDragon @cryptobrian If you are using HD4600+ and Safari or iTunes doesn't freezing (with or without a discrete GPU) is maybe because aren't enabled the Hardware Encoder (Intel Quick Sync).

That depends of the Clover's configuration (ig-platform-id).

If the intel's quick sync is disabled, no probably doesn't have any issue.
If don't use any extra kext, the DRM content on iTunes cannot be played.

My config.plist here... I've defaulted my Serial numbers etc for iMessage etc...

So, you haven't a discrete gpu right? So, you don't need any extra bootarg.

Without the boot flag I don’t have hardware encoding?

With it I do. But iTunes crashes. A lot actually.

Although I’ve found an old duplicate Realtekalc.kext in a 10.12 folder in klover. But I doubt that’s the issue?

i checked all parts to fix itunes crash. no luck. now there is no way.
i think itunes softeware issue. i saw some itunes crash report on real mac.
hope apple will fix it.
Sierra is perfect. High Sierra is perfect except itunes crash randomly

Some People for some reasons have this, even on real Mac's on HS. iTunes crash and they can't even see the Files in Finder. I found this helpfull.

Ohh I got it.
Well, iTunes is crashing because the you have enabled Intel Quick Sync (using the bootflat, that is the way to force the offline encoder).

In resume, the culprit for iTunes crashing is the Intel Quick Sync. I suppose that a kind f dsdt or ssdt hack could help, but I don't know how it works.

I dont use Intel Quick Sync. Only onboard iGPU. HD 3000, 4000 & 4600.
Recently got rid of my Nvidia Graphics Card. Not stable.

Updating to the latest Lilu, Shiki and IntelGraphicsFixup did the trick for me. Been around 4-5 days now.
No problems of any sort now on iTunes.

Thanks everyone !

Are you sure? I just updated them all to 1.2.0, but definitely still seeing iTunes crashing whenever I try to playback DRM content (or even iTunes Radio). With Shiki enabled, it always crashes, but with it disabled, it doesn't.

UPDATE: Repairing permissions as mentioned above seems to have fixed it! DRM video is still a colorful mess, but no crashes!
UPDATE 2: After rebooting again, it's crashing again. Made zero changes, so I have no idea why it's crashing again. Sigh.
