I'm considering building a rack mount system to be my "always on" system. I'm wondering if anyone has put anything like this together using Sandy Bridge hardware, and if so, what hardware worked best?
I'd be looking for something quiet with the maximum number of SATA ports. If all of the port heavy motherboards are either not tested, or really pricey, are there any SATA controller cards that play nice with OSX?
Maybe this is a type that could be added to the next CustoMac posting? Anyhow, just looking for ideas and experiences. Thanks in advance (and thanks for all the work everyone puts in here).
