Hi,
I decided to build a solid Costo Mac system of my choice and below are my hardware:
i7 3770K, Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH, Corsair 16GB RAM, Sandisk 240GB SSD, EVGA GTX 670.
After loading to start installing it gets stuck at the apple logo screen with continuous spin and does that for over 2 - 3 hours and never stop till I restart it.
Tried all that's been said in the forum.
Please someone help me out!!!

I have a GA-X58A-UD7 and had the same problem. I tried numerous fixes, primarily rolling back AppleACPIPlatform and searching for the OEMsmbios stuff (I didn't have that installed to begin with) and still had the spinning boot logo indefinitely. So I started playing around with other kexts. What has definitely got me booted into 10.8.2 was cleaning out my /Extra/Extensions directory. I had a FakeSMC.kext in there as well as in S/L/E. I removed the one in E/E as well as NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and LegacyAppleRTC.kext.

That allowed me to boot completely into 10.8.2. Hope this helps.

Try unplugging all usb devices after you start the installer.

Did you ever figure out what was causing it? I have the same exact build and I'm experiencing the same issues. Please Help!!
