So I have successfully created a Hackintosh for a while now, even updated it successfully to Catalina. Everything works, like USB, HDMI, DP, Audio, Ethernet and Wifi. The only problem is that I get random freezes. Sometimes it freezes almost immediately after bootup, and sometimes it happens after hours. Some programs are more prone to freezing, for example the new Catalina App Store makes it freeze 80% of the time.
I installed it with Clover. My specs are;
- Sapphire Radeon HD7950 3GB
- Intel Core i5 4670k
- MSI Z87-G43
- 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
- 120GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD (boot up drive)
- 600W Corsair CX600 Power Supply
Something I did notice is that maybe the GPU fails to accelerate or something? Im not sure, it was fairly quiet exporting a FCPX file though...
Someone who could help me?
